FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

In person only · No remote access · No cloud · No logs · No app

Is this for you?

Is this like antivirus or a VPN?

No. Those are generic, always-on tools. This is a one-time, in-person hardening of your specific devices, accounts, and exposure — calibrated to your situation.

How is this different from IT support?

IT support fixes problems after they happen. We harden, model the threat, and train you — closing the vulnerabilities before anyone uses them, on the same endpoint standards applied to government systems.

Do you work with individuals or companies?

Individuals, and the people around them. The service exists for people in high-pressure personal situations — separation, dispute, inheritance, competitive exposure — not corporate IT procurement.

Confidentiality

Will anyone know I contacted you?

No. Nothing is shared. WhatsApp and Signal are end-to-end encrypted; nothing passes through a form or a third party.

Do you keep records of what you found on my device?

No. What we find during the day is handled during the day. Nothing is logged, copied, or stored.

Is there a file on me after the engagement?

No. The only document that leaves is the Certificate of Hardening — and it stays with you. We keep no copy.

What actually happens

Can this be done online or remotely?

No. Remote access is a door into your device; handing it to a security provider is no safer than handing it to anyone else. Everything is done in person, in your presence.

Where do you operate? Will you come to me?

We come to you. Primarily Israel; international engagements by arrangement.

How long does an engagement take?

Personal Shield is one day. Extended Shield, two to four. Inner Circle Shield depends on the number of people covered. The schedule is agreed before we begin.

What do I need to bring or prepare?

Your devices and your account credentials, which you enter yourself — we never handle passwords. Bring your account details, your account of what's happened, and anything suspicious you've noticed. Everything else is handled on site.

What is the Certificate of Hardening?

A signed record issued at the end of the day: the steps applied, the standards used, and the date. Yours to keep; no copy retained.

Who does this

Who does the work?

Dr. Lior Tabansky — directly. Not a team, not a junior technician supervised remotely. The person who assesses your threat is the person who hardens your devices and accounts.

Can I verify Dr. Tabansky's background independently?

Yes. The full record — publications, academic positions, government advisory roles, media — is public, at cyberdrtabansky.com, so you can verify without taking our word for it. More about the method →

Pricing and tiers

How much does it cost?

Four protection tiers: Personal Shield ₪15,000, Extended Shield ₪32,000, Inner Circle Shield ₪38,000, Sovereign Shield ₪95,000. A Threat Assessment is ₪3,500, credited in full toward any tier within 14 days. See the four protection tiers →

What's the difference between the tiers?

Scope, not quality. Personal Shield covers one person's primary device and accounts; Extended adds the home network, vehicle, and connected devices; Inner Circle adds people, typically three, each fully hardened; Sovereign is comprehensive, adding physical counter-surveillance and ongoing monitoring. The hardening standard is identical across all four.

What is the Threat Assessment, and do I need it?

A three-hour, in-person review of your current exposure that produces a threat map and a recommended scope. It isn't required — some clients arrive knowing what they need — but if you're unsure which tier fits, it's the right first step, and its ₪3,500 comes off the tier you choose within 14 days.

After the engagement

Is the protection permanent?

The hardening is durable — devices stay hardened, accounts stay secured, hardware keys don't expire. What changes over time is the threat landscape: new vulnerabilities, credential leaks, evolving methods. That's what Annual Threat Monitoring addresses.

What are Annual Threat Monitoring and the Priority Retainer?

Two optional products for past clients. Annual Threat Monitoring (₪6,000 a year): credential-leak scanning, breach alerts, and one in-person account-hygiene check each year. Priority Retainer (₪12,000 a year): response inside eight business hours and three in-person check-ins a year. Both are included in Sovereign Shield, and neither needs remote access.
